The acyl pyrazole derivative (3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methanone was prepared simply and rapidly in 86% isolated yield by means of an oxidative functionalization reaction aldehyde with pyrazole. A substoichiometric quantity 4-acetamido-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxoammonium nitrate used as the oxidant. performed solvent-free absence a base, making it clean, green approach. mixture aldehyde, pyrazole, oxidant heated at 55 °C for 3 h, then, product analytically pure form via extraction no need column chromatography.

The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. Two of the tert-butyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites with occupancies 0.530 (15)/0.470 (15) and 0.615 (11)/0.385 (11).

In the title compound, C(13)H(16)N(4)O(2), the pyrazole ring forms a dihedral angle of 50.61 (6)° with the 3-nitro-phenyl ring.
